Lunch and Arcade with Me!Too Club: Creating Moments of Joy
28 April 2024 • 3 mins read

On April 28, 2024, Civilians Association Singapore (CAS), in collaboration with Owen/Me!Too Club and MINDS, hosted a heartwarming event, Lunch and Arcade with Me!Too Club, at Northpoint. Aligned with CAS’s vision of fostering inclusivity and compassion, the event brought together 12 dedicated volunteers and 20 participants for a day filled with fun and connection.
The goal was to create awareness of the joy in befriending persons with intellectual disabilities and to provide memorable moments for them and their caregivers.
The event began with a lively lunch at McDonald’s, where clients, their caregivers, and volunteers shared meals and laughter. Following the meal, the group headed to Timezone arcade, where games brought smiles, strengthening bonds between families and volunteers.
The event’s impact was profound. Caregivers cherished the opportunity to relax and enjoy quality time with their children, while volunteers experienced a shift in perception, realizing that their special needs friends were not only kind but also incredibly fun to be around.
By organizing such meaningful activities, CAS continues to champion its mission of promoting community care and understanding, proving that simple acts of engagement can foster profound connections and enrich lives.
