The Civilians Association (Singapore) hosted its grand 60th Anniversary & Annual Happy Family Day 2024 at Keat Hong CC on 27th July 2024, bringing together over 350 guests for a night of unity, gratitude, and celebration. This milestone event exemplified CAS's commitment to fostering family bonds and honoring the contributions of its community members.

The evening began with vibrant song and dance performances, setting a festive tone.

Guest-of-Honor Minister K Shanmugam graced the event, presenting shawls and commemorative medallions to CAS pioneers and senior members, recognizing their dedication and 30 years of service.

A symbolic moment was the cutting of a large Bengawan Solo cake shaped as “60,” celebrating the journey since CAS's inception in 1964.

The event also spotlighted inclusivity, inviting residents from neighboring homes such as Sree Narayana Mission Home, Jamiyah Home and Sun Love Home to partake in the festivities, enjoying a buffet meal and live entertainment. CAS President Mr. MP Sellvem and Minister Shanmugam shared heartfelt speeches, while a nostalgic video captured 60 years of CAS’s achievements.

This celebration not only honored CAS’s pioneers but also reinforced its mission of strengthening families and communities. The gathering served as a poignant reminder of how far CAS has come while inspiring continued unity and service for the future.
