On 5th October 2024, the Civilians Association (Singapore) (CAS) and the Singapore Silent Heroes Alumni Committee hosted the Singapore Silent Heroes Alumni Induction Programme at the HCSA Community Service.

The event welcomed 15 new finalists and winners alongside 10 past honorees, creating a space for learning, networking, and collaboration.

The evening began with registration, where new inductees were presented with their SSH Alumni T-shirts. A venue-sharing session by Andrew Ong from HCSA Community Services set the stage for meaningful discussions. The program continued with welcome remarks by the SSHA Chairperson, Mr. Owen Tan, and Vice Chairperson, Ms. Toh You Xin. Address speeches by Mr. Suresh M, SSHA Advisor, and Mr. MP Sellvem, President of CAS and Chairman of the SSH Movement, further highlighted CAS’s mission to inspire community-driven change.

Participants engaged in group breakout sessions to explore CAS’s four key pillars and brainstorm future initiatives. The program also celebrated achievements with a prize presentation for the Popularity Contest Winners and concluded with a memorable photo session.

This induction program provided a vital platform for knowledge-sharing and collaboration. New and seasoned alumni alike expressed enthusiasm to contribute, underscoring the event’s success in fostering a community united by a shared commitment to compassion and action.
